Webgility, a San Francisco-based company that specializes in integrating e-commerce software, has launched eCC Ship, a new tool to help online retailers streamline their order management and automate shipping by integrating with various shipping partners.
The new tool currently supports more than 30 e-commerce platforms — including Amazon, eBay, Magento, BigCommerce, Open Cart, X-Cart, and Zen Cart — with major shipping providers such as FedEx, UPS, Stamps.com, and DYMO Endicia.
The software allows companies to download order information from their commerce channels and generate shipping labels and packing slips with shipping service providers. Some shipping services can be automated and the software’s framework would allow a company to do a custom integration with their in-house order picking and fulfillment systems.
For larger e-commerce retailers, shipping labels can be generated in bulk, rates can be compared before purchasing, and the system can automatically verify shipping addresses and multi-package shipments. The service also incorporates item tracking information with the order fulfillment and verification process. - Geoff Whiting
