Container volume at the Port of Virginia rose 1.5 percent year-on-year in October, aided by strong growth in exports. Export volume rose 5.5 percent to 96,090 TEUs, offsetting a 3 percent drop in exports to 79,240 TEUs. Overall volume reached 175,330 TEUs.
