Van spot rates rose by $0.01 per mile during the week ending June 21, hitting the record high of $2.08 seen in March, according to DAT.
The increase in van rates equated to a 0.5-percent rise over the previous week. During the same period, flatbed spot rates rose by 0.8 percent, or $0.02, to $2.44 per mile, and reefer rates rose by 0.4 percent, or $0.01, to $2.42 per mile.
During the week of June 15-June 21, spot market capacity ticked up by 2.9 percent, when compared to the previous week. During the same period, fuel prices fell by 0.3 percent.
