Starting in January, UPS will offer a new time-definite service for less-than-truckload shipments across the United States that guarantees delivery by noon.
"In today's competitive market, customers often need parts, equipment
and products earlier than the end of the day. Shippers need to know that
parts, equipment or products will reach their customers right when they
need them, not hours later," UPS
Freight President Jack Holmes said in a statement. "We designed UPS Freight LTL Guaranteed A.M. for shippers who
need precision coupled with the reliability of UPS' service."
The service can be requested through a variety of shipping systems. The guaranteed service can be booked online or through UPS WorldShip 2013 or UPS CampusShip; alternatively, shippers can simply request the service on their bills of lading. Rates and availability can be seen at ltl.upsfreight.com.
"UPS Freight strives to ensure
that goods are delivered door-to-door in the most efficient and
cost-effective way possible," Holmes stated. "Our latest shipping option ensures that UPS Freight's LTL portfolio
offers a delivery guarantee for every shipping need, whether it's urgent
or simply day-definite."
