Saudi Airlines Cargo has taken delivery of the first of its two Boeing 747-8 freighters, which will enter service in May.
Saudia will add the second aircraft to its fleet by the middle of June. Both will fly on Asia-to-Europe routes.
“We are extremely excited to be taking delivery of our first two Boeing 747-8F aircraft,” Saudia Cargo’s Mohammed Linjawi said in a statement. “Not only is this one of the best aircraft in the world in terms of air freight performance, it can also accommodate 15 tons more than the Boeing 747-400 currently in use."
