SAI Global Ltd. has acquired the Steritech Group’s supply chain certification services, giving SAI more marketshare in the food safety assurance arena.
Steritech’s services include auditing, training and other programs aimed at improving food safety.
"We believe that our clients' supply chain certification needs will be better served by an organization with global reach and a broader service offering,” Steritech’s Chief Executive Officer Mark Jarvis said in a statement. “This is an opportunity for SAI to accelerate their penetration of the North American market and it allows us to focus more on our core pest prevention and retail auditing businesses."
The food safety market is a strategic focus for SAI, according to the company’s Paul Butcher.
“I am excited that SAI will be joined by some highly regarded food safety experts and industry leaders that will further strengthen our leadership position in the North American market,” he said.
