The liner company Medterranean Shipping Co. has ended its dedicated service from North Europe to Central America.
The service operated with six vessels averaging 2,886 TEUS. It had a rotation of Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Puerto Limon, Cristobal and Rotterdam. According to a notice on MSC's German Website
, cargo can now reach its Cristobal hub (on the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal) direct via its Europe-WCSA service, and can reach Puerto Limon via transshipment over Freeport, Bahamas.
MSC operates its Europe-WCSA service jointly with CSAV, providing seven out of nine vessels averaging 4,845 TEUs. It's rotation is Rotterdam, Antwerp, Tilbury, Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Caucedo, Cartagena, Cristobal, Balboa, Meijones, Coronel, San Antonio, Balboa, Cristobal and Rotterdam. — ComPair Data
