GENCO has named Thomas Nightingale as president of its Transportation Logistics unit.
In this role, Nightingale will be responsible for growing revenue and expanding GENCO’s logistics business. Today, the Pittsburgh-based third-party logistics firm manages more than $1.5 billion in freight annually, providing transportation management, consulting, and procurement services. GENCO also provides freight brokerage and inbound logistics management, along with parcel management.
“Tom has the right mix of broad-based transportation and logistics industry experience, combined with commercial acumen, to lead GENCO’s Transportation Logistics team and to build upon our market position,” said Todd Peters, chief executive officer and vice chairman of GENCO, in a statement.
Nightingale joins GENCO with more than 20 years of transportation and logistics experience. He most recently served as president of sales and marketing for ModusLink Global Solutions. Prior to that, he was chief marketing officer for Con-way, Inc., and vice president of corporate marketing for Schneider National. He also has held management positions at Clareon, CSX and UPS.
