consumer electronics from the TAM Cargo warehouse facility in the
Viracopos International Airport in Brazil on Oct. 23.

security officials by locking them up in a room. They then made

Concentrated efforts by cargo theft gangs targeting specific commodities that are popular during the holiday season, such as consumer electronics, consumer care goods and others, are already being felt.
It suggested shippers, manufacturers and transportation companies must remain aware of the increased security risks during the next 60 days. The increased volume heightens the value at risk across all points in the supply chain.
Freightwatch said "warehouse robberies typically are the largest value incidents due to the high volume of product stored in a single location. Brazil has recorded several multi-million dollar losses this year due to warehouse invasions."
