Aviation trade group Airlines for America has tapped Dan Elwell as senior vice president of safety, security and operations. In his new role, which begins Feb. 1, Elwell will work with government agencies on security issues. Elwell previously served as assistant administrator for aviation policy, planning and environment at the Federal Aviation Administration.
