The former secretary general of the International Air Cargo Association, Daniel Fernandez, has left the organization following the appointment of Douglas Brittin to the secretary general post.
Brittin, it was announced last week, is to take over his new duties on Aug. 15. The organization had offered Fernandez what it called a "substantial continuing role" in the organization, but Fernandez has decided to leave TIACA instead. Fernandez had served as secretary general for nearly 15 years.
Brittin, a 33-year industry veteran, most recently served as the division director of air cargo for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration. He previously worked at BAX Global, Emery, Menlo Worldwide and Panalpina. - Jon Ross
