The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received five license applications and changes for review.
The FMC received a non-vessel-operating common carrier/ocean freight forwarder license application from OTA America, Brea, Calif. (Dookee Kim, secretary).
The agency also received applications for a change to a qualifying individual from Carmichael International Service, Los Angeles (John Salvo, co-president); and Watercraft Mix, Hialeah, Fla. (Dmitry Poyarkov, president); for a name change from Salmad Ocean Line & Logistics, College Park, Ga. (Amadu K. Jah, president) to Sea Freight Express; and for a deleted trade name (Siam Intercargo Service) from Best Global Logistics USA, Compton, Calif. (Tai-Chuen "Larry" Che, vice president).
Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the FMC's Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington at (202) 523-5843. Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) - both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs - are also available on the FMC Website
