The logistics and international freight forwarding company Extra Logistics said Monday it has launched Web-based ocean and air freight booking services.
The online services are designed to enhance Express’ network 22 cargo receiving terminals in both U.S. and affiliate offices in 97 countries.
Customers now can submit shipment details for import/export air and ocean freight to put their international shipments in motion. The services also include instant less-than-containerload (LCL) pricing for more than 42,000 U.S. Zip codes to destinations in Asia Pacific, Latin America, Oceania, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“These Web applications provide our clients and overseas partners with 24/7 access to our North America Logistics service,” Extra Logistics President Peter Gruettner said in a statement.
“Clients can use the on-line Extra-Quick Quote system to obtain immediate freight calculations worldwide and the Extra-trak customizable report service to track their cargo status 24/7. Our clients also enjoy the convenience of a personal, centralized North America customer service center for single-contact point and support worldwide,” he added.
