UTi Worldwide has appointed Ditlev Blicher to president of Asia-Pacific.
He succeeds Brian Dangerfield, the region’s president since 2010, who is leaving the company for personal reasons.
Most recently, Blicher was executive vice president for group operations at CEVA Logistics, overseeing more than 1,000 facilities worldwide.
Max Sauberschwarz, global head of carrier and gateway air logistics at Kuehne + Nagel, was named chairman of Cargo 2000.
Having held the post of vice chairman for the last three years, he will act as chairman up to Cargo 2000’s annual general meeting in Los Angles in March 2014 when the board of directors will formally elect a new chairman and vice chairman.
Sauberschwarz succeeds Mattijs ten Brink, who has stepped down after moving from his post as senior vice president sales and distribution for Air France-KLM Cargo to become chief executive officer of the Dutch airline Transavia.
Air France-KLM Cargo has confirmed that Gijsbert Woelders, vice president of operations, will take over as the airline’s Cargo 2000 representative.
Cargo 2000, which includes 78 major airlines, forwarders, and third parties in air freight, has a defined, automated industry standard process for moving goods from the door of the shipper to the door of the consignee.
Mads Peter Zacho will become chief financial officer of Danish bulk vessel operator TORM, effective Sept. 1.
He was with Nordea in Copenhagen before being recruited to A.P. Moller Maersk, where he was appointed deputy head of group finance. He joined Svitzer in 2010 where he is currently CFO.
Zacho replaces Roland M. Andersen, who resigned as TORM’s CFO in April.
