Con-way Freight will increase its rates by an average of 5.9 percent on June 24.
The general rate increase applies to customers on the CNW 599 tariff. The change will impact general less-than-truckload rates and accessorial fees associated with these shipments in and across the borders of Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States.
“The effect of the rate increase will vary for individual customers and shipments based on characteristics such as geography, lane, product classification, weight and dimensions,” according to a statement on the company’s Website.
The new rates will be available on Con-way’s Website on June 24. - Jon Ross
