The liner carrier CMA CGM said Friday it will raise rates on the Asia-Europe trade in both directions over the coming weeks. The line will first seek to hike westbound headhaul rates to Europe by $300 per TEU from Sept. 1. The increase is applicable from all origins, including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh, to all European destinations, including North African, Black Sea and Baltic ports.
