Analyst says Saia going strong, but has room to improve

   Saia achieved record load averages in January and February despite weak seasonal tonnage, according to an analysis by Stifel Nicolaus.    The less-than-truckload company has placed logistics post trailers into its arsenal, and this is helping boost capacity by 20 percent on linehaul runs, the analyst said.    As load averages improve, the company is also targeting fuel efficiency, pricing improvements, better inspection measures and linehual optimization.
