American Fast Freight will open the largest cargo terminal on Alaska's Kodiak Island on May 2.
The terminal is a 6,000-square-foot terminal built two miles from the Port of Kodiak and will receive shipments in 40-foot containers, flat racks and temperature-controlled trailers. Interstate cargo coming from the lower 48 states will be consolidated at American Fast Freight’s terminal in Anchorage, along with intra-Alaska cargo, and then moved via different transport modes including vessel, barge and ferry into Kodiak.
American Fast Freight will deliver cargo across the island via a dedicated fleet of trucks. American Relocation Services, a subsidiary, will also provide transportation for household and commercial moves.
