Air Force taps 12 carriers for $694 million contract

   The U.S. Transportation Command has granted a $694 million contract to 12 air cargo carriers for door-to-door transportation services for the Air Force.    The contract will commence Feb. 1 and run for one year, with options for four more one-year periods.
