SDV has opened a new South American office in Colombia, adding the location to its current holdings in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay.
Officials cited Colombia’s GDP growth and economic reforms as reasons to expand into the country. Oil and gas, as well as mining, are big industries in Colombia; those are two of SDV’s largest industry verticals.
“Our local know-how in the growing South American sectors of oil and gas, mining, aerospace and health care, coupled with our worldwide network, will allow us to service companies that are looking for an international logistics partner,” Philippe Lescuras, the managing director of the new office, said in a statement. - Jon Ross
