$242 million approved for Oakland logistics project

   The California Transportation Commission last week formally committed $242 million in state money for the redevelopment of the Oakland Army Base into a large logistics center.    The port and city of Oakland are organizing the $1 billion project, which will include an intermodal yard to serve marine terminals operated by Ports America and the logistics park.
